Bio
Rich grew up on Long Island, New York, and learned from his parents and grandparents the value of hard work and preparation. Rich first learned about estate planning when his grandparents explained their plan to the family while they were in their 60s. Since their plan was thorough, they were able to enjoy the next 30 years of retirement by living independently. When they passed, Rich’s family took comfort in that fact that they were able to honor the wishes of the two people who taught them so much and were able to love for so long.
Rich’s parents were each the first member in their family to go to college, and Rich was the first person in the family to go to law school. Rich worked for a year as an engineer at a consulting firm in New York City before attending Hofstra Law School. He decided to go to law school because he felt he had more to learn.
When Rich moved to the Washington DC area, he volunteered at a retirement home and regularly delivered for Meals on Wheels. After he met his wife Victoria, they became foster parents and welcomed many children into their home. They are blessed that one of those children still calls them Mom and Dad.
Rich opened this law firm because he believes everyone deserves to live with the same independence and dignity that his grandparents did in their old age. He also wanted to demonstrate to his daughter the value of honest work, just as his parents and grandparents did for him.
